Election as Group’s Chairman

Timothy D. Armour‘s election was announced on July 28, 2015, by Capital Group board of directors. With 32 years of investment experience, he was the most suited candidate to run the companies considering that he also holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Middle Bury College. Alongside other senior management committee members including Phil de Toledo, the president of Capital group, and Rob Lovelace, the president of Capital Management and Research Company, Timothy sets, implements, and communicates the overall business strategies of capital group and also oversees its operations. His election as chairman was in line with a leadership succession plan which had been in motion for some years. The plan was officially formalized after the passing the group’s former chairman, Jim Rothenberg. According to Timothy, Jim was a purposeful leader who took decisive action which would ensure that the long-term interests of the associates, investors, and clients were protected and learn more about Timothy.

Evidently, Timothy was the most suitable candidate to succeed Jim as he had the best interests of Capital Group at heart and Timothy’s lacrosse camp.
