Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi’s Replacement Named

Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi was born on October 6, 1951, in Marilia, Sao Paolo, Brazil. He earned his Philosophy Degree from Sao Paulo’s School of Philosophy, Sciences, and Literature. His career with Banco Bradesco started in April 1969 and has devoted his time to his professional career at Bradesco. His rose through the file and ranks of the bank’s organizational ladder.

In January 1984 he got elected as a Department Director. Then in Match 1998, he was appointed as Managing Officer, as well as Executive Vice President in March 1999.

On March 10, 2009, he was selected as the Chief Executive Officer of the Board of Directors, a position that he holds alongside being a Member of the Board of Directors of the Bank. The position of CEO happened due to the resignation of Lazaro Brandao.

Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi’s professional growth and contribution to Banco Bradesco was phenomenal in the sense that the market share and financial expansion of Bradesco happened after he instigated the acquisition of HBC Brasil way back in 2009. Octavio de Lazari Junior is 54 years old and at present is the President of the Bradesco Seguros Group, and the Vice President of Bradesco.

After the shareholder’s meeting on March 2018, Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi will continue to hold the Chairman of the Board of Directors position and will concentrate in the fulfillment of his duties in that capacity.

Bradesco commented that the line of renewal and continuity within the bank would be upheld in the manner that has done in the past, where vacated positions will be filled by deserving rank and file or executive employees within the organization.

The banks are quite optimistic that the industry will be doing better this year compared to the past years, with the GDP between 2% to 3% and no increase in unemployment rate. While optimistic about the industry’s continued growth, Octavio de Lazari Junior and Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi still call for the reform in pension.
