The organization which comprises of 20 homes spread across the southern coast of England specializes in taking care of the elderly and individuals with a wide range of chronic health conditions such as dementia and other neurological disorders. Their facilities are staffed with qualified doctors, nurses and other highly trained professionals whose main role is to provide the best care to the patients.
The organization was founded in 1985 where they established their first facility in Sussex. Currently, Sussex Healthcare runs more than 20 highly equipped facilities with a bed capacity of close to 600. Over the last few years, Sussex Healthcare has gained a lot of popularity where it has become the premier provider of residential care in Sussex.

The organization was founded by two ambitious gentlemen, Shafik Sachedina whose background is in the field of medicine and Shiraz Boghani who has built a name for himself in the hospitality industry. The two co-chairs have been actively involved in the management of the organization for the last two decades. In March this year, Amanda Morgan-Taylor joined Sussex Healthcare where she serves as the chief executive officer.
Shafik Sachedina, the brains behind Sussex Healthcare was born in 1950 in Tanzania. His family moved to London where he enrolled at the University of London to study dental surgery. After qualifying as a dental surgeon, Shafik Sachedina practiced dentistry for several years before trying his hand in entrepreneurship.
Besides his role at Sussex Healthcare, Shafik Sachedina is also an active member of the Ismaili community. He serves as the Secretariat of His Highness the Aga Khan as the head of the Department of Jamati Institutions on a voluntary basis. He also serves in several other organizations within the Ismaili community that focus on humanitarian assistance.
