The Influence of Sujit Choudhry on Transition of Democracy.

Sujit Choudhry is an Indian-American who was born in New Delhi. He has knowledge and skills in comparative constitutional law, gained from working with several organizations and institutions. Sujit served the Berkeley School of Law as a dean before being appointed as the current I. Michael Heyman professor of law. The professor also lectured at the University of Toronto as well as the University of New York School of Law. Throughout his career, Choudhry earned several awards including the Trudeau Fellowship. The professor is currently forty-seven years old, holding three law degrees and one biology degree. Sujit Choudhry graduated from the University of Oxford, University of Toronto, Harvard Law School and McGill University.

Immediately after completing his university education, Sujit Choudhry got an employment opportunity at the Supreme Court of Canada. He worked as a personal assistant to one of the chief justices until 1999 when the University of Toronto absorbed him. The Indian-American later became a legal consultant for several organizations and institutions across the United States. While pursuing his career, Sujit Choudhry provided legal advisory services for the World Bank Institute. He also chaired various boards alongside being a member. His experience as a consultant enabled him to travel several countries to help in the constitution making process as well as settling political disputes. Professor Sujit has also served various nations during ceasefires.
